Health Care for Uninsured Adults in Wake County

Working adults in Wake County who do not have health insurance can receive affordable health care through Alliance Medical Ministry.

Alliance Medical is a faith-led medical ministry, which provides primary and acute care clinics.

  • Resident of Wake County
  • No health insurance
  • No Medicaid
  • No Medicare
  • 18 years or older
  • Must be employed or live with a family member who is employed

Offers primary care to patients who pay a sliding scale fee based on income. Most visits cost $15.
 
All appointments in the clinic must be scheduled. Schedule your appointment by calling (919) 250-3320.  Bring the completed application to your first visit.

The primary care clinic provides routine wellness exams; diagnosis and treatment for hypertension, diabetes, and asthma; and laboratory and testing services. It also has a pharmacy offering free or  reduced-priced medications. Other services include monthly ear, nose and throat and ophthalmology clinics, a diabetes disease management program, and free community-wide screening events.
 
The primary care facility also handles general appointments for annual physicals, annual OB-GYN exams, and eye exams for diabetes patients.
 
Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
            Selected Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
 
Offers same day appointments for immediate health care needs at a cost of $25 per patient visit.
 
The clinic operates on a first-come, first-served basis and provides care for colds and coughs, flu, sinus infection, sore throat/strep throat, earache, seasonal allergies, pink eye/styes, urinary tract infections, skin infections/ rashes/ bug bites, minor gastrointestinal complaints, minor burns, headache, and back pain
 
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
            Friday: 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Additional Services at Alliance
Alliance hosts several community and outreach events including mammography and screenings, cervical cancer screenings, prostate & testicular cancer screenings, diabetic and nutritional education fairs, and more.
