Reporting Child Abuse or Neglect in Wake County

If you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, or if you think a child may have died from being mistreated, you should report this to Wake County Human Services.

Call the Child Protection Report Line: (919) 212-7990 (English) or (919) 212-7963 (Spanish).

You do not have to give your name to file a report. You also don’t have to have proof, but you should share all the information you have about the suspected mistreatment.

Child Protective Services will asses your report, visit the child’s home and work to protect the child from further abuse.
