Holly Hill Hospital provides treatment programs for children, adolescents and adults covering a wide range of behavioral health issues, including illicit and prescription drug abuse and dependency. The Carter Clinic offers substance abuse, substance dependency and detoxification services in additional to mental health services. The Carter Clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, state funded insurance, cash, check and credit card payments. A sliding fee scale is also available. First Step Services offers a free substance abuse education program called Family and Community Education (F.A.C.E.). The program is for individuals who know a substance users/abusers and do not know how to help them. No appointment is necessary to attend. F.A.C.E. meets at 6 p.m. every Monday at:

The Healing Place of Wake County is a recovery and rehabilitation facility for homeless people with alcohol and drug dependency. An overnight emergency shelter is available on a one-night -only, first-come, first-served basis.
 
The Healing Place of Wake County is for Wake County residents only. It accepts clients who currently are on drugs or are intoxicated. Individuals with substance abuse issues can enter the rehabilitation program to regain sobriety or can stay only one night in the emergency overnight shelter.
Guests must adhere to the facility’s schedule. Walk-ups are not accepted. Overnight guests are transported to and from pick-up sites.
