Eviction Assistance in Wake County

Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) provides services to eligible families needing help to stay in their rental homes.

The program includes services such as housing search assistance, credit repair services (budgeting classes), rental and utility deposit assistance, rent and utility payment assistance and landlord negotiation help.
 
An individual or family may qualify if they:
  • Rent and are at risk of eviction; or
  • Are currently homeless
and if they:
  • Have nowhere else to turn;
  • Are willing to work with a support counselor; and
  • Have a household income level of 50 percent or less of the Area Median Income (currently a maximum income of $27,200 for a single person or $38,850 for a family of four).
