Green Job Training Program in Wake County

The City of Raleigh Office of Sustainability offers a Green Building Training Certification Program to help workers develop the skills needed in the green construction industry. 

Through the Green Building Training Program, the Office of Sustainability offers classes and certification for a $25 refundable fee to construction professionals. Participants receive training and certification. 
 
To be eligible for the program, a participant must have a business license within the City of Raleigh. If your business is not required to have a business license, you must provide proof that you work or live in the city. 
 
The courses include LEED certification, Solar Photovoltaic Installation, Solar Thermal Installation, Green Plumbing, Sustainable Landscaping, Home Energy Rater System (HERS), Building Performance Institute (BPI), and Green Cleaning.
 
Second year of the program was lanched in May 2011.
