Before you get ready to open up shop, there are some things you must do—organize, strategize and perfect your craft.  Whether you’re baking pies, or cutting grass, you must have a plan. Print this checklist before you move ahead with your hustle. If you can check all of these boxes, you are ready to go into business for yourself!
 
Before starting my business, I have to:

• Find out if I am required to get licenses and permits for my type of business
• Make a plan to get the supplies I will need to do business 
• Find a safe place to work
• Make sure I have the time to put into my business
• Determine what my product/service will be
• Determine whether or not I will need help
• Plan a way to get clients
• Make a plan for where I will sell my product
• Get together enough money to get started
• Take into account what people say are my strengths and how I will use them in my business
• Choose a name for my business
• Make a plan for how I will manage my business
