Leaf Season and Collection in Raleigh

City of Raleigh 2011-2011 Leaf Season and Collection

Every year the City of Raleigh collects loose leaves at the curb from mid-November to January. The City plans two collections in each area of the city: one before Christmas and a second after the New Year.

Seasonal loose leaf collection has ended for Fall - Winter 2011-2012.

Loose leaf collection will resume in late 2012 after the leaves begin to fall. Until then, residents may see our new automated leaf collection trucks around town as staff continues to receive training in the operation of these complex units.

If you have questions or concerns about the City of Raleigh's Loose Leaf Curbside Collection Program, please call (919) 996-6446.

Citizens who receive loose leaf curbside service can have their leaves picked up year-round on their scheduled yard waste collection day. Leaves must be placed in clear plastic bags, paper bags, or permanent containers. View Yard Waste Preparation for more information on preparing yard waste for collection.
