The Women’s Center of Wake County is a day shelter in Raleigh for women and children who are homeless. In addition, it provides many services to help homeless and low-income single women and women with children.
Services include:
- Basic needs services: safe shelter, food, clothing, personal care items, laundry vouchers, emergency food, lockers, restroom, breakfast, client telephone.
- Supportive services: domestic law legal clinics, attorney hotline, free HIV and STD testing and counseling, financial assistance counseling, crisis counseling, supportive employment.
- Affordable housing services: affordable housing, housing specialist, Epiphany House (a four-bedroom, three-bath home where single women can live).
