Food Assistance Programs in Wake County

Provides resources to residents of central and eastern North Carolina so that no one goes hungry.
 
If you are in need of emergency food, please use the search box to find a food bank near you by typing in your zip code. 
 
Provides food to agencies and programs in the greater Triangle, such as shelters, soup kitchens, and faith-based pantries.
 
In addition, offers children’s programs such as Backpack Buddies and Children’s Nutrition.
 
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle also provides a culinary job training program that helps men and women with severe life challenges prepare for career in food services.

Serves home-delivered meals to residents of Wake County who are over 60 and are homebound or vulnerable. Meals are delivered about noon Monday through Friday. Disabled residents who are under 60 can qualify for the program if they meet certain criteria.

Meals on Wheels also serves lunch at noon on Monday through Friday at eight congregate dining rooms located throughout Wake County. To eat at a congregate dining room, you must call first to make a reservation. You will be required to fill-out an application on site.
