A certificate program allows you to gain skill and experience in a specific field. Certificate programs are for people who want to be employed in an entry level position or who want to improve their current employment opportunities in a career or technical field.

 

A certificate program takes less time than a college degree program and focuses on one specific field or topic.  Often certificate programs serve as a way to continue education in a specific field. In some programs, certificates can count toward an academic degree, such as an assosiate's degree.

 

Certificate programs are available in such areas as office administration, web technologies, accounting, computer information, database management, early childhood education, massage therapy, health services, and many more.
