The Raleigh Neighborhood Exchange is open to everyone who would like to become more active in their neighborhoods, learn about City services and programs and build connections with other residents across Raleigh. The date for the 2012 Exchange has not yet been determined.
Usually, participants attend break-out sessions on topics such as neighborhoods in a time of new urbanism, neighborhood communications, and how neighborhoods can respond to disaster. Sessions are also held for Spanish-speakers and for teens.
A citizen committee helps plan and decide the topics for the Exchange, which takes place as the City of Raleigh celebrates Neighborhoods Month each September.
